[Maine-birds] Turkey Vulture north of Augusta and downed barred owl

Saw my first local TV yesterday about 2 pm, just north of Augusta.
We were both heading north via I-95.
On my way home, about 5 pm, I saw what appeared to be a barred owl lying in the breakdown lane, north of mile 117.
Traffic was too fast and busy to stop.
The owl was well out of the way of traffic, so if it was just stunned it had a chance.
