I also had an early Mourning Dove nest at our home in Scarborough. They used the same nest as last year (I assume it was the same pair). The single chick fledged on April 2. An unhatched egg was abandoned in the nest. I removed that egg today, in case they try for a second clutch. I have not seen the chick since it fledged in last Tuesday's cold rain....
