Fwd: [EXTERNAL]Re: [Maine-birds] Waxwings in Lewiston

Many thanks to google mail's word correction system for bringing us this colorful new species.   Let's hope the impending storm picks some up and dumps them in Maine....

Bahamian waxwings' wings are tipped in a variety of pastel blues, pinks, and aquamarine…

Wow, a "Bahamian Waxwing" would, I think, be a  new bird to science.  Keep your eyes peeled. 😉  I wouldn't mind a little  Bahamian weather right now.
I saw several mixed flocks of Cedar Waxwings and Robins in the Waterville/Fairfield area yesterday, as well as a flock in Farmington.  The Farmington flock had at least 2 Bohemian Waxwings, the first I've seen this winter.

A small flock of cedar waxwings is currently cleaning out a crabapple tree on the Bates College campus between Merrill gym and the ice rink. I did not see any Bahamians but sky is overcast and it is hard to tell.
