[Maine-birds] Townsend’s warbler

Judith Graber and I just had spectacular looks at the Townsend's warbler in Cape Elizabeth —up close and personal. It was foraging on a tree trunk to the right of the driveway and on the adjacent ground about 10 feet from the road. So basically right in front of us.

Then it flew across the road and foraged on the ground next to a big rhododendron before moving back into the woods and out of sight. Beautiful bird!
