Yesterday visited the house on Cape Elizabeth to search for the Townsend's Warbler. I arrived at about 9 AM having just missed the bird at the feeders a few minutes before according to two birders who were there before me.

It finally reappeared about 0945, landing briefly on one of the wooden feeder poles, then dropped down to the deck and from there out of sight to the ground.  For the next 30 minutes or so, it reappeared at the feeders, dropping to the deck occasionally, and once flew into a bare tree straight back from the deck giving us some good views.

Overall, got some quick but good looks.  No mistaking this bird.  Several other birders were there to see and verify it.

Lots of other birds at the feeders (the usual suspects) and one Cooper's Hawk who swooped down to the ground under the feeders giving us a scare as we worried it was after the Townsend's but fortunately, a few minutes later, the Townsend's reappeared.

Owners were very nice and glad to let people watch the feeders as long as they did not enter the yard but stayed behind the fence.
