[Maine-birds] LITTLE EGRET - Scarborough Marsh, 8/7

Just got a call from Peter Vickery that a/the LITTLE EGRET is currently in the pannes off the Eastern Trail through the Scarborough Marsh. They had it earlier in the distance at Pelreco but it has moved over with a mass of other egrets, including one of the presumed Tricolored Heron x Snowy Egret hybrids.

For those unfamiliar with the area, "Pelreco" is located off Snow Canning Road on the west side of Route 9 approaching Pine Point: http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L448190. And the pannes off the Eastern Trail can be accessed from either the Route 9 or Black Point Road (Route 207) sides: http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L448190.

Good birding,

Doug Hitchcox
