RE: [Maine-birds] Golden Eagle continues Thursday, 24 Jan

I also had the opportunity to see the Golden Eagle between 11:30 and noon
today in the same general area but more toward the cemetery.

Thanks to everyone that has been posting about this bird. If it were not for
you I would not have gotten this lifer today.

Subject: [Maine-birds] Golden Eagle continues Thursday, 24 Jan

The immature Golden Eagle continues in Clinton (and Benton and Fairfield). I
saw the bird soar in from the west side of the Kennebec heading east over
the Flood Farm. At 10 am today, the bird flew directly over Bruce Barker and
me, circled a few times, and continued east. We later saw it perched on top
of one of the taller, brown, power-line poles that run north south east of
the Flood Farm. There is a tall cell tower in the direction of the pole on
which we saw it perched. There were 3 Bald Eagles of various ages out there
too (maybe attracted to a carcass on the ground?).
