[Maine-birds] Duck Day

Following Chris Bartlett's directions we found a male Gadwall in a large flock of American Black Ducks and Mallards along Deep Cove Road in Eastport.  Enroute home to Harrington we stopped along the East Machias River just above the Route 1 bridge along Factory Road and found 14 Common Goldeneye and among them was one male Barrow's Goldeneye.  In company with the Common Goldeneye was a lone male Ring-necked Duck.

Also, we saw a 1st winter Iceland Gull in the same area as the Gadwall.
