[Maine-birds] Golden Eagle - York, 3/3

Hey everyone:

I received a call around 2:00PM that this previously reported Golden Eagle was just seen again eating something on an ice flow that was "drifting towards 95". This area is difficult to access but anyone out looking may want to check near the Route 1 bridge where you may be able to see from Bos'n's Landing at 150 US Route 1, York (that is a restaurant [on private property so be respectful] but looks like it has a big parking lot that the York River is visible from.)

Good birding,

Hey everyone,

I wanted to forward a report of a GOLDEN EAGLE that has been seen in York for "over a week" now. The photos I received are dated 8 Jan 2014 (in the EXIF data) but it is apparently still being seen with some regularity. I'll post more specifics if they become available but the bird reportedly frequents the area of the York River between Route 95 and the Scotland Bridge. Here is an approximate point of where it was seen: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=43.153258,+-70.699704

Good birding,
