My husband and I went over to the Skowhegan Middle School and the Bloomfield Elementary School (in the same complex) to look for the Snowy Owl. We were there at 11am this morning and again at about 5pm and didn't see the snowy. We did see 3 Snow Buntings by the Skowhegan High School. We also had heard there was a snowy owl out at Backyard Farms (the tomato farm) in Madison but didn't see him/her there.
From there we drove up to Long Falls Dam Rd. It was very quiet, only 3 Red Breasted Mergansers and 3 Blue Jays! But a beautiful day to be out birding.
