Snowy Owl still at the Owls Head Airport on the far side, heading to Birch Point State Park. And I was lucky enough to finally see it! We say mergansers and eiders and a couple of buffleheads at the Lighthouse. And on the way back to Camden, we saw A bald eagle eating something on ice covered Chickawaukie Lake surrounded by a handful of crows.
What a beautiful day it was-bring it on!

--My husband and I went over to the Skowhegan Middle School and the Bloomfield Elementary School (in the same complex) to look for the Snowy Owl. We were there at 11am this morning and again at about 5pm and didn't see the snowy. We did see 3 Snow Buntings by the Skowhegan High School. We also had heard there was a snowy owl out at Backyard Farms (the tomato farm) in Madison but didn't see him/her there.
From there we drove up to Long Falls Dam Rd. It was very quiet, only 3 Red Breasted Mergansers and 3 Blue Jays! But a beautiful day to be out birding.
