A wonderful duck day— wood ducks joined the buffleheads , ring-necked , and goldeneye ducks and the mallards took their usual rainy day spot under the feeder and in puddles. The geese were here as usual.
At the feeder : bluebirds , the cardinal pair, hairy, downy, and red-bellied woodpeckers, chickadees, doves, wb nuthatches, goldfinches, red-winged blackbirds ( still no females ), and blue jays. The crows were in the oaks as were some wood ducks ( at different times)
