[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 9/5-11.

Hi all,

Away from Sandy Point, my observations of note over the past 7 days included just the following:
- 1 ad and 1 juv AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS, Pine Point, Scarborough, 9/6 (with clients from Kentucky).
- 1 continuing TRICOLORED HERON X SMALL WHITE EGRET SP(P), Pelreco Marsh, Scarborough, 9/6 (with clients from Kentucky).
- Common Nighthawk high count this week, 20-30+ over Rte 9 in Berwick, 9/6.
- 4 RED CROSSBILLS, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, Waterboro, 9/8 (with Jeannette. All were Type 10 fide Matt Young).
- Cape May Warblers and to a less extent, Bay-breasted Warblers, seem to be in better numbers and much more widespread than they have been in recent years, continuing an increasing trend (likely as Spruce Budworms move eastward)
