[Maine-birds] Connecticut Warbler, West Kennebunk

Hi All,

I was attempting to photograph an unidentified mammal swimming around in the pond on my property in West Kennebunk today. I had positioned myself on the edge of the water waiting for the mammal when I came across this bird at about 12:30 PM.

I found this large warbler walking around on the edge of the pond where the mud was exposed foraging. It was yellow below and olive above, with a clear and complete white eye-ring. When I reviewed the photographs I took, a light, but the obvious gray hood was present, leading me to believe that this was either a female or an immature male Connecticut Warbler.

I uploaded a few photos to my eBird checklist for identification purposes.

Thanks,

Garrett
