[Maine-birds] Fryeburg 9/1 : 10+ Wood Thrushes and others

Tuesday (9/1) along the western end of Mountain Division Trail in Fryeburg there were 10-12 Wood Thrushes flying through and apparently roosting for the evening. This was the exact spot (Mile 50) where I recorded songs by 20-25 of them (not counting fledglings, which were also present) on July 17th.  Again they were flying across the trail in a wave, giving low clucking calls and a few other notes.  No enchanting chorus as earlier during the breeding season; their decibel level was much more subdued this time but their activity lasted for close to 10 minutes beginning around 7:20 PM.

Additionally there were 3 Eastern Towhees & one Whippoorwill still sporadically singing.
