On this beautiful spring day, a beautiful surprise visitor is walking around on the lawn. It has a funny shape and constant tail-flicking, so I got my scope on it. A very handsome Eastern Meadowlark! Hadn't ever seen one in Maine. Snuck outside for some photos and heard him make several rattling calls. What I wouldn't give to hear his song! Maybe later...
