Re: [Maine-birds] Recommendations for puffin tours

There are several day-trips organized by the Audubon Hog Island Camp out to the famous seabird colony at Eastern Egg Rock: May 29, June 4, plus a family-day outing on May 31.  These leave from Bremen on a good stable boat and include birding/hiking and lunch on Hog Island as well as the boat trip.  https://hogisland.audubon.org/programs/hog-island-day-trips.

The Hardy Boat from Newcastle does shorter (and less expensive) puffin tours also with Audubon naturalists.  Choose a day with mild seas and you're all set.  https://hardyboat.com/puffin-watch/

An avid birding friend is coming from California and wants to see puffins and other seabirds. She is worried about being seasick, though. Any recommendations for tours with good birds and a lower chance of being seasick?

Thanks!
