Visitors:
9 visitors today. A surprise appearance by the lead counter's fiancée was special, and she even spotted a few Broad-wings! 2 horses today.

Weather:
Today was fairly nice up at the summit, winds were very mild out of the NW for most of the day. Temps ranged from 41 to 50 F. The sky was overcast for almost the entire day, visibility was excellent.

Raptor Observations:
Today was not the tremendous day some of us thought it might be, but it was a good day. Broad-wings and Ospreys are on the move. Sharpie numbers are starting to climb. The overcast sky meant that strong thermals never really developed, which may have hindered the flight.

Non-raptor Observations:
Double-crested Cormorants are on the move (175)! Other migrants are as follows: -Tree Swallow:6 -American Robin:2 -American Goldfinch: 1 -Common Grackle: 2 -American Pipit: 10 -Canada Goose: 4 -Purple Finch:1 -Common Loon:2 A total of 33 species were detected from the summit, including Wild Turkeys gobbling from down the hill first thing in the morning.

Predictions:
Tomorrow's winds should start out of the southwest and switch quickly to a straight south. A partially sunny sky should allow for some better thermals tomorrow. Tomorrow probably wont be The Big Day, but we're hopeful it will be A Great Day.
