First Yellow-Rumped Warbler today here in Eliot. Other arrivals this week were catbird, brown headed cowbird, and a gorgeous grackle. I have a pair of resident red-winged blackbirds for the first year, they've been here for a few weeks and I hope they will nest!
Still waiting for the Orioles and Hummingbirds.

Subject: [Maine-birds] Hummingbird in Saco ME
Our yard in Saco just had a visit from a hummingbird, unfortunately I couldn't confirm that it is a Ruby Throated. I'll let you know once I know for sure.
Also, first catbird sighting today.
Recent days, we've had visits from male and female Eastern Towhee, ruby crowned kinglet, and our usual visitors are: Red bellied Woodpecker, Flicker, titmouse, cardinals, gold finches, house finches, purple finches, many white throated sparrows, still some juncos, Eastern phoebes, in the distant- a few mockingbirds, and woodcocks in the marsh next to us.
