[Maine-birds] Clever Jay

Yesterday I heard a thump on the front deck, went out to discover a blue jay picking moths off the front door (The hickory tussocks are having a good year).  Usually this is a phoebe hobby, but I guess I will be rescuing the more charismatic moths from the birds in the morning.  This morning I was outside when I heard the cries of the local Goshawks that nest nearby.  Looked around, no raptors but probably same jay imitating Goshawk cry.
