Re: [Maine-birds] thrushes

Glad the Wood Thrushes are in Holden-for the first time in 20 years I have not had any around my home in West Kennebunk. One or two stopped during migration but none stayed; I do miss their evening /dawn melodies! Even the Veerys are quiet/not present this year.  Sharon in West K.

This morning we heard a Swainson's Thrush near ANP Carriage Road intersection #25, a place we have reliably heard them in past years.

In Holden we have Hermit Thrushes every year and a decade ago Wood Thrushes were here most years as well.  After several year's absence, we have heard Wood Thrushes several times off Nickerson Road.  Nice to have them back in the neighborhood.
