[Maine-birds] NC Birder coming to Maine looking for GRCO and Crossbills

Hello there folks ! Long time birder here coming to Maine next week for some vacation. I've been looking for a Great Cormorant on all my trips to the East Coast over the last few years and have always struck out.

Does anyone know of a reliable spot to see a GRCO that is not on a whale-watching boat but also anything near or south of Bar Harbor? I see eBirds but you never really know how reliable the spots are.

I am also looking for either species of Crossbill and understand Baxter SP may be a good spot, but that is a huge place to search from and would value any local knowledge of best places to possibly spot one.

Thanks in advance for your help!
