[Maine-birds] Yellow-throated Vireo - Rockport, 6/7

While conducting a point count this morning a Yellow-throated Vireo found me at the end of Fisk Lane, just past the roundabout, in Rockport. It sang viciously near me for around 5 minutes before flying away to the NW and not vocalizing until over an hour later, 150m+ away. It has continued to sing intermittently over the past 30 minutes from around the same area (maybe along the power line cut just to the NW). Definitely a bird worth investigating as they are very uncommon outside of their limited breeding range in Maine and this might be a bird on territory. Find that breeding evidence!

Good birding,
Fyn
