About an hour before the afternoon high tide.

~10 longtail males with accompanying females 25 to 100 yards from shore on the north side of the parking lot.
2 male common mergansers 50 yds. form shore on the north side of the parking lot.
about a half dozen Surf Scooters mixed in with 25 + male/female Common Eiders wrapping around the southern backside of the island
.............and I was getting ready to leave 2 Harlequin Ducks showed up trailed by 2 females only 15 yds. off the rocks on the north side.
A third followed about 50 yards from shore about 10 minutes later accompanied by his mate.
