[Maine-birds] Burned.

The Burn Road in Topsfield produced a female Black-backed Woodpecker today and several Olive-sided Flycatchers, but the reasons for going there are diminishing. Baskahegan has really been doing some thinning, harvesting, and road improvement in formerly-good areas. It’s still pretty good, but not as good as it once was. Time to nominate a new “best place to get BBWO, Spruce Grouse, Gray Jay, and Boreal Chickadee.”

And for those who think I always get a Spruce Grouse in Lubec, I dipped on two tries today.
