[Maine-birds] Re: Kennebunk Little Gull photos

Folks,

One minor point about the wing tip character on Little Gulls. These
birds show a lot of white on the folded wing in part because they have
broad and gleaming white inner webs to their outer primaries. This is
part of what forms the white "stripe" I mentioned in my previous post.
They also do show the white tips to the inner primaries that forms
part of this pattern at rest. These marks can be seen in my photos
linked in the previous post.
