Driving on I-95 north I decided to take little detour and check if the snowy owl of Strawberry Island was still hanging around there. I was unable to locate the bird, so I took advantage of the extremely low tide to walk all the way to the stuck buoy where the owl was mostly seen. Many traces of its presence, including whitewash, parts of birds (gulls I believe) and some big pellet -- I did not touch it but took a picture, not sure if anybody is interesting on dissecting it it can be found next to the buoy, stuck in a rock.
A picture can be seen here, with some of today's birds:

I also saw a couple of common goldeneyes, a female red-breasted merganser (pic), about 10-12 buffleheads, a common loon and 8 black scoters (pic).
Also many gulls, of which I am definitely not an expert. Many ringed-bills for sure, and a larger (but not huge) one with a dark back and orange circle around the eye that you can see in the pictures. If somebody could help me identifying it I would be very grateful!
Happy birding,
Francesco
