[Maine-birds] golden eagle +

The golden eagle continues in vicinity of Flood Farm as of 10:30 AM. Other raptors seen include adult Peregrine, adult and immature Red-tailed Hawk, and several Bald Eagles (at least two different adults and one immature). A distant bird perched high and toward tip of tree may have been RL, but bird was beyond positive identity through 25x Kowa scope.

Glaucous gull, 3 Iceland gull, 20+ Horned Lark, 6 Barrow's goldeneye (4 of which were male), several common mergansers, one of which, a female, was wrestling with a foot-long eel. Numerous times the bird had the eel almost totally swallowed only to have the beast wriggle free.
Lots of common goldeneye, mallards and black ducks but failed to find reported pintail below (or above) the Shawmut Dam.
