[Maine-birds] Saco River Water St at this moment

Good Morning,

The Barrows continues today with the CoGo's.  This stretch of the river is icing up a bit, but the water moves quickly because Factory Island and Springs Island form something of a figure 8 and there are 4 sets of falls to create a nice current with some eddies.  I have not seen the Cormorant this morning, but if its on the island park facing factory island it is not visible to me and he does hang out there.

The Peregrine is perched on MERC in the direct sunlight just below the microwave antenna facing factory island.

This morning we had a Hen Common Merganser and a Hen Ring-Necked Duck.  This makes three individual Ring-Necks that I've seen here in the past week.  (2 Drakes and 1 Hen)

I posted a photo of the drake at the flickr page for the Maine Bird list.  All are welcomed to join the group and post to it to share photos with  their e-mail posts to the bird list.

Cheers!
