The beautiful Snowy Owl has been seen here at Strawberry Island almost every day for the last few weeks. It seems to be getting enough to eat because I have seen the remains of gulls on the rocks a few different times.
I photographed it this morning with great difficulty because of the intense wind. It was blowing at least 30 knots at times.
There were other great birds to be seen there also on the right in the cove. Buffleheads, Common Goldeneyes,Red-Breasted Mergansers and Grebes.
Happy birding........Ken
