Got one distant look at the Golden Eagle from roadside at the Benton-Goodwin Cemetery this morning (Thanks Nancy). Then cruised River and Wyman roads for an hour plus, failing to get a better look (euphemism for photo). Other raptors included Red-tailed Hawk (2); Bald Eagle (3) and a solo Cooper's Hawk, probably passing the winter feasting on starlings at Flood Farm.
24 Snow Buntings exploded out of a stubble field a mile south of the cemetery. Along the edge of the river, right next to the pullout with the water release warning sign, a group of at least 65 Com Goldeneyes in tight formation, included two easily seen drake Barrow's. Counting and looking through hens like herding cats.
