A couple from Virginia Beach flew into Bar Harbor on Thursday to go on a pelagic trip that was cancelled after they arrived. They are trying to make the best of it and are willing to travel at least as far as Kennebunk to see the Snowy. Their message is below. If you can help them find some of the species they've mentioned below, in not too out of the way places, it would be most appreciated! Please reply to me off-line.
Thanks very much,
Linda
Linda,
We are headed your way tomorrow to search for the Snowy Owl. There are lots of other birds that we still need and are still looking for Murres, Northern Shrike, Gray Jay, Borreal Chickadee, Bohemian Waxwing, Snow Bunting, Common Redpoll, both Grosbeaks and Crossbills.
Thanks,
Ron
