The Continuing Juve Golden Eagle was at the Bath Landfill this afternoon from 1:19-1:21. The Gate is locked, but one can scope the pile from there. While I watched (after a 2-minute wait, listening to NPR), the bird soared in, scattering all the gulls, and briefly perched on the dirt pile. From there it slowly lifted off and flew to the SW, which seems to be its M.O. Photos here:

The hours of operation here are M-F, 7:30-4:00. But you can scope the disposal pile from the gate without trespassing. Please don't do the latter. Let's stay on good terms with the City of Bath. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S16036884
