Strongly striped Snowy seen on the Route 161 bypass near the Woodland end. S/he was at the top of the tallest tree around on my first pass.
-- All I had was a little (cheap) digital camera I keep in my purse, the the pictures I got were poor.
On my second pass (I had to turn around to go back the way I was originally headed), s/he was on a guardrail upright not more than 30 feet away, looking right at me as I slowed. S/he then took off. Beautiful in flight!
