Paul and I observed 7 gull species in Owls Head Harbor this afternoon in and around the "pens":
Bonapartes Gull - 1
BLACK-HEADED GULL - 1 continuing adult
Ring-billed Gull - 12+
Herring Gull - 10+
Iceland Gull - 7; 6 first cycle, 1 third cycle
Glaucous Gull - 1 first cycle
Great-blacked Back Gull - 2
Also a goodly crowd of Mallards and Buffleheads, and C. Eiders farther out.
Also, along the road near the airport, Paul spotted a flock of about 20 Snow Buntings.
