[Maine-birds] Scarborough through Portland (2 SNOW, LBBG, GADW, RWBL, RNDU etc), 12/19

Hi all,

Maegen Krieger, Luke Seitz, and I enjoyed a very productive day of birding today, beginning and ending with a SNOWY OWL (SNOW) at Portland's Back Cove (photos).  Other highlights included:

- 1 male Red-winged Blackbird, Pine Point Road.

- 10 Dunlin, Pine Point.

- 1 SNOWY OWL, Jones Creek, Scarborough Marsh.

- Grondin Pond, Scarborough:

1 1st winter LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL (LBBG; photos).

1 male (age?) GADWALL (GADW; photos).

1 drake Ring-necked Duck (RNDU)

2 hen Greater Scaup

2 hen Lesser Scaup

- 3 1st winter Glaucous Gulls, Mill Creek Cove, South Portland.

- 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker, Trout Brook Preserve, South Portland.

- 1 drake Barrow's Goldeneye, behind Paulin Tire, Broadway, South Portland.

- 1 Peregrine Falcon, around the Casco Bay Bridge.
