Found a few interesting birds while participating in the Hartland CBC today. In Newport there were two Rusty Blackbirds at feeders near the River Walk in town. Along Benson Camp Rd was a grackle. Also a Northern Shrike in the same area and another near "downtown" Pittsfield where there was also an adult Cooper's Hawk. The final tallies were not in by the time I headed south to avoid the ice.
Rusty Blackbirds remain in Unity on Quaker Hill Rd with at least five present yesterday.
Good birding,
tom
