Despite snow, ice and cold, the Rusty Blackbird flock in Unity continues. Today there were 8 while on Christmas Eve, there were 14 in the field with the standing corn on Quaker Hill Rd. Good numbers of tree sparrows and a Song Sparrow also remain. I have found these birds difficult to miss as they are usually in the hedgerow along the road or next to the green house.
Good birding,
tom
