Forgot to post another snowy owl at Popham Beach (perched on Fox Island No. 2) on Wednesday, Dec 18, in the event that somebody is tallying these based on the maine-birds listserv. Was able to show it to the only other humanoid there that day. She didn't know they really existed and was very excited.
Tough to get around down there due to a lot of high drifts. An Ipswich Sparrow was foraging on the mud between ice chunks in the lagoon. My first Intertidal Ipswich Sparrow ever. Maine birds mailing list
