[Maine-birds] Owl's Head snowy owl

I too  found the Owl's Head snowy owl this afternoon at the west end of the runway of the Knox County regional airport. After watching it for 5 to10 minutes on one of the light structures at a range of about 200 yards, I was delighted to have it flyby only 10 - 20 feet from my vehicle. It landed on one of the light towers across the road, much closer than when I first saw it, giving me very nice scope views. I must have missed it flying back across the road to the runway side, because a moment later, it sailed past my car again at 10 - 20 feet headed away from the runway. Altogether a very satisfying excursion.
