[Maine-birds] Bath - Golden Eagle

Stopped at the Bath Landfill twice today w/o seeing the Golden Eagle.  Other birders were there before and after me, but I heard nothing positive.

On the advice of one of the drivers, (who told me there were many eagles over at the Brunswick Landfill), I stopped by over there to scope out the birds.  This landfill is 10.8 miles as the eagle flies from the Bath Landfill.  Operators there are intensely interested in eagles, and report that in the last two years they have had an adult Golden Eagle there.

There were 10 Bald Eagles (4 adults), and fewer gulls over-all than at Bath.  But interestingly, both white-winged gulls found were adults (1 Iceland; 1 Glaucous).

If the Golden fails to re-appear at Bath, it might be worthwhile to check Brunswick now and then...at least on the CBC?
