[Maine-birds] Bald Eagle courtship and territory spats up close

This afternoon 5 Bald Eagles (4 adults and one 4-year bird) continued for hours right in front of our house to swoop in large arcs, dive on each other, chase each other - calling all the time. It was difficult to tell the adults apart as they would fly up or down Flat Bay and be out of sight for little bit.  But back they would come. They were swooping through our side yard about 20 feet from the ground.

We assume this was a mix of courtship activity and territorial squabble. We've see other Bald Eagle pairs perform their courtship aerobatics this past week over Route 1A between Milbridge and Harrington.
