[Maine-birds] Dark morph Rough-legged Hawk - Union, 11/24

Hayden Keene and I observed a 70% dark chocolate morph Rough-legged Hawk at Clarry Hill in Union this afternoon around sunset. The bird was foraging low around the summit with much hovering. It was a very dark bird overall, only showing some pale in the flight feathers, otherwise a deep brown overall. Really fun to see this uncommon color morph!
A pair of Lapland Longspurs and Snow Buntings continue as well.

Good birding,
Fyn
