RE: BREWER'S SPARROW
I just want to let everyone know that this location isn't the best situated, and is rather thickly settled. While I encourage people to look for it, it's likely that myself and housemates will be regularly going in and out of the house, with the potential to flush the bird often. And please park on Nickerson Way and not on Bowles Ave--it's just too narrow. Please wear masks when in the area. Also please don't enter the yard--it can be seen well from the previously mentioned location.
Also, the term at COA is almost finished, which means I'll be leaving for home this weekend and taking my feeders with me. Sorry about that, it's just how things are right now.
Thanks all and maybe I'll see some of you tomorrow,
Nathan

Nathan Dubrow found a BREWER'S SPARROW yesterday evening in his Bar Harbor neighborhood. It returned this morning and has been seen off and on through the day, including at a hanging feeder Nathan has out. Louis Bevier shared: "Bird is often on grass below play set or in bare trees in back. Standing to west of yard behind short cedars seems to work best. Nathan asks everyone to wear a mask." Nathan's address is 3 Bowles Ave in Bar Harbor, but his street has no parking. There is a small parking lot at Nickerson Way, just south of Bowles Ave, that appears to be the best option.
And Dick Brubaker photographed a BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK in his Ellsworth yard today. It hasn't returned so he is not willing to consider opening to visitors yet. Just wanted to get this on everyone's radar as another rarity that could be at a feeder near you!
