Hi all - in light of eBird's maintenance hiatus, I wanted to share the sighting of an Iceland Gull in Acadia's Seawall Pond (bathing with Ring-bills, Herring, and Greater Black-backed) at about 2:15 this afternoon. These birds move back and forth between shoreline roosts (Seawall Picnic Area, in particular) and near-shore floating locations, so the Iceland is not likely to hang out solely in the fresh water pond.

Craig K
p.s. I'll have some distant photos on eBird once they resume functionality.
