Got there very early this morning with two others. We were there for an hour or so. We'd given up. They left. I was in my car warming up trying to get feeling back in my hands and feet. At about 7:18, I noticed all the gulls and ducks in a frenzy. I looked to the north and saw the short-eared owl coming directly towards me. As I got out of the car and got my binoculars I got a clear look at a good sized owl, striped overall with thick broad wings. It then continued towards the woods and I lost it.Impressive creature. That was my second morning and fourth overall. attempt.
