Exciting bird action in the yard. I was picking strawberries when I looked up to see why the tree swallows were so upset. They were escorting an immature cooper's hawk across the yard. It landed in one location, took flight, landed in another tree, took flight again, landed in a third tree, then finally decided to beat it. It gave me enough time to get my binoculars and get a couple of good looks.
