Rob’s directions below are just right, and you’ll see the Kennebunk Land Trust sign upon arrival – parking is just beyond the sign. Strawberry Island is simply a spit of land at low tide now, but it once was a farm. A fire destroyed the structures many years ago, and subsequently the sea has had her way. Kennebunk Land Trust is pleased to host the Snowy and your visits to see this beautiful owl! There is limited parking at the site, please respect the neighbors.

Whoops...sorry Bruce....its in Kennebunk......Get off I 95's Kennebunk exit, follow Rt 35 through middle of town and then south following signs for Kennebunkport. When you come to the intersection of Rt 35 and Rt 9, go straight through and follow to shore and down the beach. After passing Lord's Point (private) turn left onto Great Hill Rd....follow short way to sharp right turn where you have a good view of the spit and the small rocky Strawberry Island. You see a yellow/white lobster buoy wedge in rocks near its highest point...Owl seems to often hang by the buoy. See attached aerial photo.
Good Luck,
Rob
