At one time this morning I had 7 male cardinals along with 3 females in my yard - WOW!!! Such a pretty sight! Soon there may be some combat going on to see which one wins this territory for breeding. Until then, I will enjoy the whole bunch. Also had lots of the usual birds - still large numbers of DE Juncos. One C Redpoll for a little while.
The PIGRs were back in force again this morning - about 20 - 25 - the largest number I have had so far. Still a good amount of fruit on the Zumi Crabapple that they and lots of Robins have been feasting on. I cannot see that tree from inside the house so I sometimes do not know when they are working it.
