[Maine-birds] Brunswick Area Birders Needed

The Maine River Bird Survey Network needs Brunswick area birders to join the ranks!  Our team of over 50 citizen scientist volunteers began learning about the relationships between birds, rivers, and habitat in 2008.  New volunteers are needed at the Brunswick Dam to conduct 20-minute surveys approximately every three weeks in winter and summer (Dec. through ice out, Jul. and Aug.), and every two weeks in spring (ice out through June, Sept. though Nov.).

Intermediate or higher birding skills are needed.  Note that surveys will be largely visual and focus on large aquatic birds, not auditory surveys for songbirds.  For further information contact Erynn Call, erynn.call@maine.edu or (906) 630-0266.
